On Sunday January 22nd the 49ers were to play against the NY Giants in order to make it into the Super Bowl. One controversial point during the game was during a punt return the Giants kicked the ball off to the 49ers. The 49ers punt returner Williams decided to not catch the ball and let it hit the ground. He ended up chasing after it but the ball ended up hitting up his knee which caused a turn over and gave the Giants the ball back! The 49ers eventually lost to
everyones dismay because no one was rooting for the NY Giants.
